How was PM Modi's speech at the UN? questions about china

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Saturday. His speech is being reviewed. Many people are praising and many people are criticizing the subject matter.

In this speech, PM Modi expressed his views on democracy to terrorism, Afghanistan, and Coronavirus vaccine.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations, attacked by taking the name of India. But the PM targeted without naming Pakistan.

He did not directly name Pakistan during this period, but he did say that "countries that are using terrorism as a political tool with a retrograde mindset must understand that terrorism is equally for them." There is a big danger. It is very important to decide that the soil of Afghanistan is not used for spreading terrorism and terrorist attacks."

While someone in Pakistan is criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at the United Nations, someone in India is praising and criticizing both.

Pakistan's Home Minister Sheikh Rashid has condemned his speech and said that the Indian Prime Minister should pay attention to the mistreatment of minorities in his country.

'Why not take the name of China'

At the same time, BJP MP and former Union Minister Subramanian Swamy have tweeted that PM Modi did not name China in his speech.

He tweeted an article by the AP news agency, asking, "How are you ashamed of not naming China?"

The AP article states that PM Modi did not directly name Pakistan or China in his speech, but the goal of his speech was clear.

In his 20-minute speech in Hindi, he asked the international community to help women, children, and minorities in Afghanistan.

PM Modi did not directly name Pakistan but said that it has to be ensured that no country can take advantage of this situation for its selfishness.

India has been concerned that Pakistan's use of Afghanistan's land for anti-India extremist groups could lead to conflict in a disputed region like Kashmir.

Imran Khan made a lot of mention of Kashmir in his speech and raised the issue of alleged atrocities taking place there. However, PM Modi did not make any mention of Kashmir in his speech.

PM Modi did not directly name China, but he did mention the security of the sea and the policy of 'expansionism and occupation'. This is being linked to China's growing dominance in the Indo-Pacific region.

PM Modi gave this speech in the United Nations General Assembly the day after the meeting of the Quad. China was not named even during the Quad meet. The group is believed to have been created to reduce the growing influence of China in the Asia-Pacific region.

The US President Joe Biden, the most powerful country of the Quad, did not even mention China in his UN General Assembly speech. Security analyst Brahma Chelani sees the non-naming of China at any level by the US in a different way.

He has tweeted and said that America did not name China because it wants to reduce tension with it.

He wrote, "Biden is taking extraordinary distances to de-escalate tensions with China by not uttering the word 'China' in the UN speech. Biden has removed the bottleneck in relations with Beijing through a deal. The day They hosted the Quod conference, they allowed the daughter of the founder of Kweiwe to go to China."

Chidambaram said – seats were vacant

Apart from raising questions of Subramanian Swamy, some people have taunted PM Modi's speech in India itself. These include former Home and Finance, Minister P. Chidambaram.

Chidambaram, while not saying anything on the subject of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech, has pointed out that 'only a few seats were filled in the United Nations General Assembly during PM Modi's speech which has disappointed him.

Chidambaram then wrote, "And what is even more disheartening is that no one even clapped. India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations has become a fool."
