Usman Khawaja became the second Australian batsman to be dismissed for a duck in the final match of an ICC event. Before Khawaja, Aaron Finch was the first Australian opener to get out for a duck in the 2015 ODI World Cup. Finch was dismissed in the second over against New Zealand.
India playing in the final for the second time
It may be noted that India is playing the World Test Championship final for the second time. For the first time, New Zealand won the World Test Championship trophy by defeating India. Australia has reached the final for the first time. Australia would like to win the title under the captaincy of Pat Cummins. At the same time, India has not won any ICC tournament since 2013.
