The World Test Championship final is being played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS). Australia's opener batsman Usman Khawaja got a unique record in the first innings. Khawaja returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Khawaja has become the second Australian opening batsman to be dismissed for a duck in the final match of an ICC tournament.

In the WTC Final, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. David Warner and Usman Khawaja came to open for Australia. Khawaja became the victim of Mohammad Siraj after playing 10 balls. He returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Siraj and Shami kept the pressure on Khawaja, due to which he lost his wicket.

Khawaja was beaten by the length ball

Usman Khawaja was troubled by Siraj keeping a straight ball before getting out. Siraj took excellent advantage of the bounce he was getting from the pitch. Siraj hits a length delivery on the outside off. Khawaja went to play the ball and took the outside edge of the bat and the ball got into the gloves of Bharat.

Finch was out before Khawaja

Usman Khawaja became the second Australian batsman to be dismissed for a duck in the final match of an ICC event. Before Khawaja, Aaron Finch was the first Australian opener to get out for a duck in the 2015 ODI World Cup. Finch was dismissed in the second over against New Zealand.

India playing in the final for the second time

It may be noted that India is playing the World Test Championship final for the second time. For the first time, New Zealand won the World Test Championship trophy by defeating India. Australia has reached the final for the first time. Australia would like to win the title under the captaincy of Pat Cummins. At the same time, India has not won any ICC tournament since 2013.
