IND Vs IRE T20: Arshdeep recorded his name in the pages of history, broke Jasprit Bumrah's record

Indian team's young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has registered his name in the pages of history by taking a wicket in the second T20 International (India Vs Ireland 2nd T20) match against Ireland on Sunday. Arshdeep Singh hunted Andrew Balbirnie (72) and completed 50 wickets in his T20 International career.

 

Arshdeep Singh has become the fastest Indian fast bowler to take 50 wickets in T20 International cricket. The left-arm fast bowler broke the record of Jasprit Bumrah. Arshdeep Singh took his 50th wicket in the 33rd innings of his T20I career. At the same time, Bumrah touched this figure in the 41st innings.

By the way, Arshdeep Singh became the second Indian bowler to take the fastest 50 wickets in T20 International cricket. This record is in the name of Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, who completed 50 hunts in 30 T20 Internationals. Arshdeep left behind Yuzvendra Chahal to grab the second spot. Chahal had completed 50 wickets in 34 T20 Internationals.

 

Arshdeep's name in the main list

While looking at the top 10 teams in the T20 International format, Arshdeep Singh became the second fastest bowler in the world to take 50 wickets. South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi is at the top of this list. Ngidi took 50 wickets in only 32 innings.

 

Arshdeep Singh is joint second with Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman. Both the fast bowlers completed 50 dismissals in the 33rd innings. Australia's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood (34 innings) is third while South African fast bowler Dale Steyn (35 innings) is frozen in the next place.

Let us tell you that the Indian team has taken an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the series by defeating Ireland by 33 runs in the second T20 International match (IND Vs IRE 2nd T20) on Sunday. India batted first and scored 185 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Ireland's team could score 152 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. The third and final T20 International match of the series between India and Ireland will be played on Wednesday.
