Rohit has described the victory in Cape Town as one of the best victories ever in the history of Indian cricket. India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the shortest test match in cricket history. Only 107 overs were bowled in Cape Town and the match was over in one and a half days.

 

Rishabh Pant played a memorable innings

Rohit Sharma compared this win with the historic Test win at Gabba. Rishabh Pant played a crucial innings at Gabba to defeat Australia and win the Test series in 2020/21. A weak Indian team winning a Test series is one of the golden moments in cricket folklore. Rishabh Pant performed strongly on the Gabba pitch and scored an unbeaten 89 runs.
