Chardham Yatra 2024: The doors of Kedarnath Dham open at an auspicious time, and the doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri will also open today.

Chardham Yatra will start with the opening of the doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham. Today, as per the rituals, the doors of Kedarnath Dham have opened for the devotees to have darshan at seven in the morning. During this, flowers were showered from the helicopter. Baba Kedar's Panchmukhi Doli has reached Kedarnath with the cheers of thousands of devotees.


 

By late evening yesterday, more than 16 thousand devotees had reached Kedarpuri for the darshan of Baba Kedar on the first day. Today, after the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham, the doors of Yamunotri Dham will open at 10.29 am and the doors of Gangotri Dham will open at 12.25 am. The doors of Badrinath Dham will open at 6 am on 12th May.


 

On Thursday morning, Baba Kedar's Panchmukhi Doli left for Kedarnath Dham from Gaurikund. Reached Kedarnath Dham at 3 pm. Thousands of devotees also reached Kedarpuri along with Baba Kedar's palanquin. During this time, Kedarnath Dham echoed with the cheers of the devotees and the tune of the army band. Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Ajendra Ajay welcomed the Panchmukhi Doli on its arrival at Kedarnath Dham. The carriage of Mother Ganga has left for Gangotri Dham from Mukhba. Will reach Doli Dham on Friday morning. At the same time, the procession of Mother Yamuna will leave for the Dham from Kharshali village on Friday morning.


 

Lavishly decorated temples

Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham are lavishly decorated with flowers. Kedarnath temple has been decorated with more than 20 quintals of flowers. This time devotees will go through Aastha Path to have darshan in the Dham. There is a provision of benches to sit on the Aastha Path. Also, a rain shelter was built to protect from rain and snowfall.


 

More than 22 lakh devotees have registered

So far, more than 22 lakh devotees have registered for the Chardham Yatra. Looking at the registration figures, this time also the state government is hopeful of creating a new record of devotees in Chardham Yatra.
