India-Pak Relations: India gave a message to Pakistan, saying- friendly relations should be in a terrorism-free environment

Days after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered bilateral talks, India on Thursday said it always wanted normal neighborly relations with Pakistan but such relations should be free from terror, violence, and hostility. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi made the remarks when asked about Sharif\'s offer last week to hold talks between the two countries to resolve outstanding issues like Kashmir at a media briefing.

Pak had told the war with India a lesson

Let us tell you that in an interview given to the UAE channel last week, Sharif said that Pakistan has learned its lesson after three wars with India, and now it wants to live in peace with India. These wars have only created misery, poverty, and unemployment for the people. He had said that my message to the Indian leadership and PM is that let\'s sit at the table and have serious and honest talks to resolve burning issues like Kashmir. Human rights are being violated continuously there.

Shahbaz Sharif kept this condition

However, Pakistan\'s Prime Minister\'s Office later said that talks were not possible without India undoing its steps on Kashmir in 2019. Relations deteriorated further in August 2019 after India announced the withdrawal of Jammu and Kashmir\'s special powers and the bifurcation of the state into two union territories.
