The second test match is to be played between India and South Africa on January 3. The good news of the Indian team is that Ravindra Jadeja is completely fit. On the other hand, the South African team would like to show a strong game in Cape Town like Centurion.
How does the Cape Town pitch play?
The second test match between India and South Africa (IND vs SA) is to be played at the Newlands ground in Cape Town. This ground in Cape Town is dominated by fast bowlers. With the help of bounce from the pitch, fast bowlers wreak havoc. This is the reason why very few test matches on this ground result in a draw. It is a very difficult task for the batsmen to score runs in Cape Town.
What do the figures say?
A total of 60 Test matches have been played so far on this ground in Cape Town, out of which the team batting first has won 23. At the same time, the chasing team has won in 25 matches. The average score in the first inning was 325, 292 in the second, 234 in the third, and 163 in the fourth inning. This means that the batsmen have to work hard to score runs in the fourth innings.
Jadeja will return to the team
Ravindra Jadeja, who missed the first Test against South Africa due to injury, is considered almost certain to return in the second Test. Jadeja was seen sweating profusely in the practice session. Jaddu bowled and batted without any problem. With the arrival of Jadeja, both the spin department and the batting order of Team India will be strengthened. However, for Jaddu, R Ashwin will have to make a place in the final eleven.
