On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the people on Tuesday. He said that this is an opportunity to connect with the mother tongue and take a pledge to make it more prosperous. Shah also said that when a person makes his mother tongue prosperous, all languages will prosper and the country will also prosper.
"It is a day to connect with our mother tongue and take a pledge to make it more prosperous... We should take a pledge to use our mother tongue as much as possible," he said. The Union Home Minister said that when a child reads, speaks, and thinks in their mother tongue, it enhances their ability to think, reason, analyze and research.
He also said that keeping this in mind, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized education in the mother tongue through the new education policy. This will become the basis of India's golden tomorrow.
