We are seeing from this morning that the pictures of Yoga that were seen in spiritual centers a few years ago are now visible in every corner of the world. These are pictures of common humanity. It has become a global festival. It is not only for an individual but for the entire humanity. So this time the theme is Yoga for Humanity.

He said- 'I thank the United Nations for taking yoga to the world. Friends, our sages, sages, and masters have said yoga – Yoga brings peace to us. It brings peace to our country and the world. It is like tying together India's past with India's diversity. People are doing yoga with sunrise in different countries of the world. As the sun is moving forward, people in different countries are joining together with its first ray. This is the Guardian Ring of Yoga.

He said- 'Friends, for the people of the world, Yoga is not just 'Part of Life' but is now becoming 'Way of Life'. We have seen that the elders of our house, our yoga practitioners do pranayama at different times of the day, then start working again. No matter how stressed we are, a few minutes of yoga increases our positivity and productivity. We also have to attain Yoga, flourish and live.

The theme of Yoga Day-2022 - Yoga for Humanity

Every year on 21st June a theme is kept for Yoga Day. This year's theme has been chosen as 'Yoga for Humanity', which means Yoga for Humanity. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, the purpose of keeping this theme is to give relief to the people who have faced physical and mental stress during Kovid. Last year the theme of International Yoga Day 2021 was 'Yoga for Wellness'.

Why is Yoga Day celebrated on 21st June?

The main reason for celebrating Yoga Day on 21st June is that this day is the longest in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also called the summer solstice. According to Indian tradition, after the summer solstice, the sun turns south. Also, doing yoga on this day lengthens the life of people. Because of this, Yoga Day is celebrated every year on the 21st of June.
