Former Indian player expressed objection to the decision
Speaking to Star Sports, Yuvraj Singh said, "Rohit Sharma has won 5 IPL titles as captain, removing him from the captaincy was a big decision. I would have made Hardik the vice-captain of the team and seen how the entire franchise is working."

Mumbai will play its first match against Gujarat Titans on March 24 and the second match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (March 27).
