All the world's legendary cricketers play in both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (Pakistan Super League). In 2025, the dates of these two T20 leagues will clash and it has to be seen which league the foreign players Select. According to the amount of money the players get in IPL, PSL can suffer a big loss. Pakistan's home season in 2025 is very busy, which includes hosting the ICC Champions Trophy.

The IPL has a window of about two and a half months, which will be from March to the beginning of June. On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will have to shift the PSL window from January-February to March-May due to the busy home schedule. Pakistan is to host the Champions Trophy in February 2025.

This will be the first time that the dates of IPL and PSL will clash. The 2025 Champions Trophy will be the first ICC tournament to be held in Pakistan in the last thirty years. In the last three ICC FTPs, Pakistan did not get a chance to host any ICC tournament due to security reasons. In the current FTP, 13 Tests, 26 ODIs, and 27 T20 Internationals are to be played in Pakistan.
