Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat: Kashmir's first Vande Bharat train started for common people, passengers' faces lit up

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train for the Katra-Srinagar route yesterday, the first Vande Bharat Express train left from Srinagar for Katra. Today, common people traveled in this train. Reactions of passengers traveling in the train have come out. They say that this is a great facility. People are expressing happiness over the start of this train service.

 

This will increase tourism a lot: Passengers.

 

Mahesh Kumar, a passenger coming from Katra to Srinagar by Vande Bharat Express train, said, "This is a great facility for all passengers, tourists, even people coming for work. This is a good alternative to airplanes because airplanes also take the same time. This is a great initiative to connect Srinagar and Kashmir with the rest of India. The government has done a great job. This will increase tourism a lot. This will make it even more convenient for children and women to travel." Neetu Kapoor, a passenger going to Katra by Vande Bharat Express train, said, "We hoped that one day Vande Bharat train will run in Kashmir too. This was our dream of many years and PM Modi has finally fulfilled it. Vande Bharat will benefit Kashmir a lot. Earlier it used to take us six hours to reach Katra. Now it will take only three hours."

 

This will be the schedule of the Vande Bharat train.

The first train (26041) will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station at 8:10 am and will reach Banihal at 10 am. After this, this train will reach Srinagar at 11:10 am. Similarly, the second train (26403) will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 2:55 pm. It will reach Srinagar at 6 pm via Banihal.

 

On the return, train number 26402, which is Vande Bharat Jammu Tawi Express, will leave from Srinagar station at 2 pm. It will reach Banihal station at 3:10 pm and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station at 5:05 pm.

 

Similarly, train number 26404, Srinagar Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express, will leave from Srinagar station at 8 am. This train will reach Banihal station at 9:02 am and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11:05 am.

 

How much will be the fare?

The fare of chair car between Srinagar to Katra including all charges will be Rs 715, while the fare of executive class has been fixed at Rs 1320. After the operation of both the new Vande Bharat Express, a total of four Vande Bharat trains will start running in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, two Vande Bharat trains are running between New Delhi and Katra in Jammu and Kashmir.
