New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) It will be a cloudy Tuesday here with the possibility of spells of light rain in some areas, the Met Office said. Officials said over 15 trains were delayed because of fog.
The visibility was 1,200 metres in the morning, delaying the arrival of 15 trains to the city and rescheduling of one, Northern Railway said.
"There was shallow fog in the morning. The day ahead will be partly cloudy and one or two spells of very light rain or thundershowers could occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The day's minimum temperature settled five notches above the season's average at 13.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 23.8 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 78 percent.
Monday's maximum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average and the minimum temperature was 6.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
