Lockdown 4.0: lockdown may increase till May 31, know where discount can be possible

The lockdown 3.0, implemented nationwide in the wake of the Corona virus epidemic, ends on Sunday. Given the rapid growth of the virus, the lockdown is set to increase for the third time, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself indicated in his address to the country. The lockdown can be extended until 31 May. However, there are likely to be a number of exemptions in Lockdown 4.0. This can now be announced at any time.

The lockdown was first announced from March 25 to April 14. This was later extended to 3 May. It was also extended to 17 May. Now the lockdown is going to increase again for the third time.

 

- Allowing public transport with conditions possible

 

- Auto rickshaws and cab aggregators may be allowed with conditions. They can be allowed to seat a maximum of 2 passengers.

 

- Domestic flights can also be approved provided that both the states concerned agree to it from where the flight is to go and where it is to reach. The Center wants to start all domestic flights but many states are opposed to it.

- Metro services in Red Jones can be suspended further.

 

- Restaurant and shopping malls may also be allowed to open with certain conditions.

 

- Containment zones may be more strict. States can get the right to decide which activities are allowed in which zone.

 

- Till now the Central Government has been deciding the Red, Orange and Green zones. Only the center can change this. However, the states are demanding that they get the right to decide the zone and which activities should be allowed in which zone.

 

 

- A senior official of the Ministry of Home Affairs told our associate Economic Times on the condition of anonymity that this demand of the states can be considered i.e. the states can be empowered to fix the zone.

 

- The official said that some shops, restaurants can be allowed to open in shopping malls but it will be necessary to follow the standards of social distancing.

 

To clear the problem of migrant laborers, the states will have clear instructions in the new guidelines. Officials said that 11 thousand crore rupees will be given to the states so that they can help the laborers trapped in the lockdown.
