
The train derailed in Gondia, Maharashtra: Three coaches of a train derailed at around 2.30 pm in Gondia, Maharashtra. More than 50 people were injured in the accident, some of whom are said to be in critical condition. According to news agency ANI, the accident happened due to a collision between a goods train and a passenger train.
However, no death of any passenger has been reported. Others have been shifted to a safer place. People who were trapped inside the train after the accident were also pulled out till morning. This train was going from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh to Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The passengers injured in the accident have been admitted to government and private hospitals in Gondia for treatment.

The incident happened in the middle of the night. The goods train had not received the signal before Gondia and was standing on the track. Then another train coming on the same track collided from behind and the accident happened. The accident occurred due to the non-receipt of signal between Bhagat ki Kothi in the goods train and passenger train.
