The Tribal Integration Committee on Monday again blocked NH 2 in Kangpokpi and NH 37 in Tamenglong district at some places, demanding an adequate supply of essential commodities to the Kuki communities in the hilly areas of Manipur.
Six arrested in arson case
Six people have been arrested in connection with an incident of arson, police said. It is alleged that these people had burnt down four houses and a community hall in Imphal West a day earlier. Along with this, arms and ammunition were seized by the police during the search operation in several districts.

The search operation was carried out by security forces in border and sensitive areas of Imphal West and East, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur, Tengnoupal Kangpokpi, and Bishnupur districts. "Seven arms and 81 rounds of ammunition were recovered from Imphal East, Kangpokpi, and Tengnoupal districts," police said.
