The idea of 'Metaverse' is many years old

That is, reality will be given a virtual form in it. The idea of the metaverse is not new. This word is decades old. American author Neal Stephenson first used the term metaverse for the world of virtual reality in his 1992 book Snow Crash.

The metaverse is often referred to as an online space where people can socialize, work and play through their avatars. To interact with each other on the metaverse, we would need an AR (Augmented Reality) or VR (Virtual Reality) headset.
