Gunmen have opened fire in Mexico adjacent to America. 18 people died in the firing. A mayor and a police officer were also among the dead. This incident of firing is being told by Tolapan of San Miguel.

 

The BBC said gunmen killed at least 18 people in the attack. Officials have confirmed this. Giving information, the police said that around 2 pm on Wednesday, the gunmen opened fire on the city hall.

Mayor Conrado Mendoza Almeida was also killed in the attack. His party PRD condemned this cowardly murder and demanded justice. The PRD has blamed the Los Tequileros Criminal Gang for the attack.

 

Mayor's father also killed

 

Mayor Mendoza Almeida's father, former Mayor Juan Mendoza, is said to have been murdered at his home before the attack on City Hall. In a preliminary report by local media, Guerrero's attorney general said 18 people were killed and three were injured in the attack. The Ministry of National Defense said the army and navy units were being deployed in the area to trace the gunmen.

Ahead of the attack, the Los Tequileros gang has also released a video on social media. The gang said in the video, we have come. The criminal gang carried out several attacks in the area between 2015 and 2017. This gang is known for threatening the mayors in this area.
