According to the latest information, the government has blocked 8 YouTube channels for spreading propaganda related to India's national security, foreign relations, and public order.
According to the information shared by the central government, 7 Indian and one Pakistani YouTube news channel have been blocked under IT Rules, 2021. Let us tell you that these YouTube channels have been viewed more than 114 million times. Apart from this, they had 85 lakh 73 thousand subscribers.
Anti-India fake news was being run on these YouTube channels.
Earlier this kind of action was taken in April this year. Taking a big decision, the central government then banned the broadcast of 22 YouTube channels in India. These channels were blocked with immediate effect. This action was taken on the orders of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. These channels were blocked for spreading propaganda related to India's national security, foreign relations, and public order. Among them, apart from 18 Indian YouTube news channels, 4 Pakistani YouTube channels were also blocked.
