He said that 878 members of 243 disaster-affected families were in relief camps. They are being provided with facilities for food, drink, and medicines. A relief amount of 515.80 lahks has been given to these families. That money has been given for relief, rehabilitation, and meeting basic needs.
Earlier on January 28, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) had put the number of cracked buildings at 863.

At the same time, the Uttarakhand government decided to divide Joshimath into three zones. Till January 9, 81 families were displaced.
