Atul Tyagi, the special staff in charge of the district, had received information on July 4 that Rahul Sarkar was in touch with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After the information, a special team of SI Dharmendra and Mahipal was formed under the supervision of Inspector Atul Tyagi. This team arrested Rahul Sarkar in a car from Saket Metro Station, MB Road. An automatic single suit pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.

The police team arrested Arjit Kumar, Navneet Prajapati, Somnath Prajapati, and a woman after questioning Rahul Sarkar. Arjit Kumar was arrested from Amritsar. Two laptops, four mobile phones, one dongle, a biometric device, a fake Aadhaar card, and other documents have been seized from their possession.
