After Sonam's arrest in the Indore Couple Case's Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, her father Devi Singh's statement has come. He has accused the police in this case and said that the police are making false claims about his daughter.

Sonam Raghuvanshi's father Devi Singh says, my daughter is innocent. I trust my daughter. She cannot kill her husband.

Devi Singh further said, "They got married with the consent of both the families. The Meghalaya government has been lying from the beginning. My daughter came to a dhaba in Ghazipur last night and called her brother. The police went to the dhaba and she was taken from there. I have not been able to talk to my daughter. Why would my daughter do this (kill her husband)? Meghalaya Police is lying. My daughter reached Ghazipur herself." 'All officers will be behind bars'

Sonam's father further said, 'She was not arrested in Meghalaya. We were thinking of meeting the Madhya Pradesh CM and the then Union Home Minister Amit Shah and demanding a CBI inquiry. The Meghalaya police are fabricating stories. Let the CBI inquiry begin, all the officers of the police station (in Meghalaya) will be behind bars.'

Sonam was missing for 17 days.

Sonam, who was missing from Meghalaya for 17 days, was found in a distraught state at a dhaba in Nandganj in Ghazipur. Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja said that Sonam first informed her family members about this and they informed the local police. We came to know from the police there. At present, we have brought her from the Nandganj dhaba and kept her in the One Stop Center and interrogation is being done.

Sonam and her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore, went missing on May 23 after seeing the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village of Shillong. Raja's body was found on June 2. Sonam has been missing since then.

Sonam reached the tea stall at 1 am.

Sonam reached Kashi Chay Jaika Dhaba in Nandganj at around 1 am. The owner of the Dhaba, Sahil Yadav, said that she came on foot. She asked for a mobile phone and talked to her brother and then started crying. After this, Sonam's brother asked Sahil for the address of the Dhaba in Ghazipur. About half an hour later, the police arrived and took Sonam with them.
