Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh compared the political changes in Bihar to Maharashtra. He targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding the political condition of both states. Ramesh said that in Maharashtra the BJP worked on a defection. Whereas, in Bihar, they were rejected and evicted. On Tuesday, Nitish Kumar announced his separation from the NDA.

The Congress leader tweeted, 'There was no Operation Lotus in Bihar. No cash was caught. There was no ED raid. There was no Assam CM. There was no resort visit. Everything was done in Bihar style at a low cost and in a decent manner. The CM got the support of the largest party and others. In Maharashtra, the BJP worked on a defection. In Bihar, the BJP was rejected and evicted.

What happened in Bihar?

In Bihar, after the farewell of veteran leader RCP Singh from JDU, the political stir had intensified. Nitish had alleged that the BJP was trying to break his party. He had called a meeting of party MLAs and MPs on Tuesday. Here, RJD, the largest party in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, also started the meeting of the Grand Alliance.

In a meeting held at the residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, the MLAs stamped the name of Nitish Kumar. After this Nitish met the Governor at 4 pm and offered to resign.

what happened in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, MLAs supporting Eknath Shinde had left for Surat and Guwahati. In the subsequent political developments, Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Here, the rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena had extended support to the BJP. Later Shinde became the Chief Minister of the state. On Tuesday itself, after a long wait of about 40 days, there has been a cabinet expansion in Maharashtra.
