Nepal, which had disturbed relations with its best neighbor by being caught in the sweet words of China, has supported him today in the hour of crisis. To help Nepal in the war against the Coronavirus, her mean friend China did not work, but India has given the religion of being a good neighbor by supplying the Covid-19 vaccine. The Government of India has today sent one million doses of Corona Vaccine Covishield of Serum Institute to Nepal. Explain that the Government of India has started supplying Corona vaccine from January 20 under grant assistance to Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, and Seychelles.
The first consignment of 10 million doses of the Covishield vaccine was sent by India from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Maharashtra to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the Government of India has received several requests from neighboring and major partner countries for the supply of India-made vaccines. In response to these requests, it has been decided to ensure supply. However, it will be ensured that domestic manufacturers have sufficient stock to meet domestic requirements while supplying abroad.
What did the Health Minister of Nepal say?
Nepal's Minister of Health and Population Affairs said in Kathmandu on Wednesday that India would provide one million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to the neighboring country as a grant-in-aid. He said that India has provided 10 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Nepal under grant-in-aid. Nepal last week gave conditional permission for the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca visited vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India. The number of corona virus-infected in Nepal is 2,68, 310 whereas, in 1975, people have lost their lives due to the epidemic.
20 lakh dose of vaccine also left for Bangladesh
India has also delivered 2 million doses of the anti-Corona Covishield vaccine as a gift to its neighboring country Bangladesh. These vaccines were left for Dhaka in a special aircraft from Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The vaccine consignment left for Mumbai and Nepal this morning, which will reach its destination at any time.
India has already helped its neighbors
India had previously supplied hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir, and paracetamol tablets as well as diagnostic kits, ventilators, masks, gloves, and other medical supplies to a large number of countries during the first pandemic. Several training courses have been organized for health workers and administrators from allied countries under the Separate Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Program, which share our experience in dealing with epidemics. The ministry said that as part of the ongoing effort, India will continue to supply vaccines to countries around the world, including the Covax facility under GAVI for developing countries.
