The mega auction was organized before the start of the new season of the Indian Premier League. 10 teams participating in the tournament bid fiercely on the players of their choice. Many players got huge amounts while some players did not bid. Big names like Suresh Raina, Hanuma Vihari, Amit Mishra, and Ishant Sharma remained unsold in this auction. Now some of these players are going to take part in Dhaka Premier League.

Test specialist Hanuma Vihari and Bengal captain Abhimanyu Easwaran are among the seven Indian cricketers who will take part in the Dhaka Premier League ODI cricket tournament. This is a free window for Indian domestic cricketers not selected for IPL. Hanuma, who was part of Team India during India's 2-0 Test series win against Sri Lanka, has signed up with Abahani Limited and is likely to join the team with a brief break in Hyderabad.

Bengal captain Easwaran will rejoin Prime Bank Cricket Club for the third season after 2017 and 2019. Other Indian players include Parvez Rasool for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi, Baba Aparajit for Roopganj Tigers, Ashok Menaria for Khela Ghar, Chirag Jani for Legends of Roopganj and Gurinder Singh by Baji Group of Cricketers. 11 teams will participate in the tournament. Vihari, Aparajith, Menaria, and Rasool have also played in this tournament before.

Dinesh Karthik has also played the tournament

Many Indians have played in this List A tournament held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, Manoj Tiwary, and all-rounder Yusuf Pathan have shown their mettle in this tournament played in 50 overs format. This time Indian players will also come to play Pakistan Mohammad Hafeez and Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza.
