The auction, conducted by Sotheby's, saw the jacket sell for nearly 16 times its estimated value, making it one of the most talked-about technology memorabilia sales in recent years.

 

The jacket was originally expected to fetch between $40,000 and $60,000 (around ₹33 lakh to ₹50 lakh).
