He said in a statement on Tuesday that he has not received the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Government of Pakistan. That's why his position regarding going to India for the World Cup is not clear yet. The ICC has responded to this. The ICC has said that the PCB has signed the agreement and is expected to stick to it.

We are hoping that he will not renege on this agreement and will come to India. After the release of the draft schedule, the PCB requested the ICC and the BCCI to shift the match against Afghanistan to Bengaluru and the match against Australia to Chennai. However, after the schedule came, it has been decided that the Pakistan-Afghanistan match will be played in Chennai and the Pakistan-Australia match in Bengaluru. Also, Pakistan will have to play a match against India on October 15 in Ahmedabad itself.

Pakistan is afraid of this thing in the World Cup

After the World Cup schedule was released, an official source in the PCB said that the schedule would be sent to the government for approval. "Our participation in the World Cup, the match against India in Ahmedabad on October 15, or playing in Mumbai if we qualify for the semi-finals, will all depend on the government's approval. So far the government has given the PCB permission to play in India," he said. No NOC has been issued for the travel and since it is a sensitive issue the board can proceed only after getting clear instructions from its government. We have already informed the ICC that our participation in the tournament or at the venues Any issue is first related to the PCB getting clearance from the government to travel to India.

PCB can decide in the first week of July

It is being claimed in some media reports that the Government of Pakistan has not yet allowed PCB to play in the World Cup due to security reasons. The Government of Pakistan has started an inquiry into the security arrangements. According to reports, in the first week of July, the Pakistani government will decide on whether their team will go to India to play in the ODI World Cup or not.

If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, the match will be played in Kolkata

Pakistan last played T20 World Cup in 2016 in India. Two venues have been decided for the World Cup semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played in Mumbai and the second in Kolkata. However, the ICC has also placed a condition on Pakistan. According to the ICC, if the Pakistan team reaches the semi-finals, it will play its match in Kolkata only. On the other hand, if Team India reaches the semi-finals, it will play its match at Wankhede in Mumbai. If India meets Pakistan in the semi-finals, India will have to play in Kolkata only. Pakistan does not want to play against India in Mumbai. For this reason, the ICC considered the name of Kolkata.
