Odisha gets first women's university

Bhubaneswar, Jan 1 (IANS) The Rama Devi Autonomous Women's College here is set to be the first women's university in Odisha.

The central government has approved the state government's proposal to grant university status to the college.

The women's college now functions under Utkal University, Odisha Higher Education Minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy told the media Thursday.
