One lakh new coronavirus cases in just two days, global count crosses 5 lakh

जॉन्स हॉपकिन्स यूनिवर्सिटी द्वारा प्रदान किए गए आंकड़ों के अनुसार, गुरुवार की रात 5 लाख को पार करने के लिए एक लाख नए मामलों को पेश करने में सिर्फ दो दिन लगे।

 

5-लाख का निशान 26 मार्च को लगभग 11 PM IST पर पहुंच गया था। 27 मार्च, 9:15 AM IST तक, दुनिया भर में 531,860 पुष्ट मामले 24,057 लोग वायरस से मारे गए हैं। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने सबसे अधिक मामलों के साथ चीन को पीछे छोड़ दिया है, जो 85,653 पर चढ़ गया। इटली में सबसे ज्यादा 8,215 लोग मारे गए हैं जबकि यूरोपीय देश में कुल मामलों की संख्या 80,589 है।

COVID-19 के लिए पहले एक लाख लोगों को संक्रमित करने में दो महीने या 67 दिन से अधिक का समय लगता था, जो ज्यादातर चीन तक ही सीमित था। हालांकि, इसके बाद यह संख्या तेजी से बढ़ी और सिर्फ 11 दिनों में एक और एक लाख मामले सामने आए। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्ल्यूएचओ) ने बताया कि अगले एक लाख मामलों में सिर्फ चार दिन लगे और उसके बाद के एक लाख मामलों में सिर्फ तीन दिन लगे, संख्या 4 लाख तक पहुंच गई।

 

गुरुवार को जी 20 देशों ने विशेष रूप से आर्थिक मोर्चे पर कोरोनावायरस रोग (COVID-19) महामारी के प्रकोप के वैश्विक प्रभाव को देखते हुए किए जाने वाले उपायों को तय करने के लिए एक आपातकालीन सत्र आयोजित किया। इस पृष्ठभूमि में, इस दिन जी -20 देशों ने वायरस के सामाजिक, आर्थिक और वित्तीय प्रभाव का मुकाबला करने के लिए वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था में $ 5 ट्रिलियन से अधिक इंजेक्शन लगाने का वादा किया था।

 

शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान, प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि COVID मामलों में 90% और वायरस से होने वाली मौतों में से 88% G20 देशों के हैं।
