Petrol Diesel Price Today: For the first time in Anuppur district bordering Madhya Pradesh, the price of petrol crossed Rs 121 per liter on Saturday, while the price of diesel reached Rs 110.29. According to industry sources, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 121.13 per liter in Anuppur and Rs 110.29 per liter of diesel while in Balaghat petrol has crossed Rs 120.

Abhishek Jaiswal, a petrol pump pal in Bijuri town of Anuppur, bordering Chhattisgarh, said fuel prices have increased by 36 paise (petrol) and 37 paise (diesel) per liter in the last 24 hours. Jaiswal said that petroleum is brought from Anuppur from Jabalpur oil depot, about 250 km from the district headquarter, hence it becomes expensive here as compared to other parts of the state due to high transportation costs.

Petrol price in Balaghat reaches Rs 120.06

Similarly, petrol pump owner Manish Khandelwal said that the price of petrol in Balaghat has reached Rs 120.06 while diesel is being sold at Rs 109.32 per liter. Petrol in Bhopal is being sold at Rs 117.71 per liter while the price of diesel is Rs 107.13 per liter. According to petrol pump owners, the fuel business is being badly affected in the border districts, as most of the vehicle owners prefer to refuel from Maharashtra or Chhattisgarh as petrol and diesel are cheaper there.
