'Rahul Gandhi roams around with a book, he...' Giriraj Singh took a dig at the Hemant government along with the Congress.

Speaking on the Emergency, Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said that Indira Gandhi, in her dynastic and power-hungry ways, imposed an Emergency on the country on the night of 25 June 1975.

Many leaders like Karia Munda of Jharkhand were arrested. Today, Rahul Gandhi, who roams around with a book and appeals to save the Constitution, should read the history of the Congress. The youth of the country needs to know this character of the Congress.

Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said in a press conference at the BJP state office on Thursday that the JMM-Congress coalition government of the state is doing the politics of appeasement. JMM is running the government with the Congress, which imposed Emergency in the country. Democracy and dynasties cannot complement each other.

Giriraj Singh said that the way Jharkhand is becoming a state of Jamai Tola, the society here is sitting on a heap of gunpowder. The coalition government is seeing this and is silent. This tendency is more dangerous than the Emergency.

Work is being done to expel infiltrators from the country, they are being identified but a red carpet is being laid in Jharkhand. This is posing a threat to the existence of tribal society.

Giriraj Singh said that the state government has not yet implemented the PESA Act. This law is to protect the tradition and culture of the tribals.

This law provides rights over water, forest and land. The youth of the state should rise above party feelings and worry about saving Jharkhand.
