Who is the founder: Now the new startup in which Ratan Tata has announced investment, has been founded by Shantanu Naidu. Naidu, 25, who studied at Cornell University, is in Tata's office and has been assisting Tata since 2018.

 

What makes Startup Highlights: The startup hires young graduates to 'work' as companions to senior citizen clients. The company has been working with 20 elders for the past six months in its beta phase in Mumbai and plans to further expand services in Pune, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

 

What Ratan Tata said: Ratan Tata, 84, praised startups and said that no one feels old until you are old. He also said that finding a good-natured partner is also a challenge.

 

At the same time, Naidu, the head of the startup, addressed Ranata Tata as a boss, a mentor, and a friend, saying that there are 50 million elderly people in the world, who are alone. Naidu said he wanted to expand across the country but would prefer to move at a slow pace without compromising on quality.
