KKR once again maintained its dominance on Chinnaswamy's ground. In the 10th match of IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets in a one-sided match.

Even though Andre Russell did not get a chance to showcase his strength in batting, he was successful in spreading his charm with the ball. Russell took the big wickets of Cameron Green and Rajat. With two wickets, Russell has registered his name in the special club.

Andre Russell took two wickets while conceding just 29 runs in his 4-over spell against RCB. Russell showed Cameron Green the way to the pavilion when he along with Kohli was creating havoc. With two wickets, Russell has also completed his 100 wickets in IPL. Russell has become only the fifth player in the history of the Indian Premier League to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets.

Before the star player of KKR, only Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Axar Patel, and Sunil Narine could do this feat. Hardik Pandya is still far away from this list. Hardik has scored 2344 runs in 125 matches but has taken only 54 wickets.

Narine-Venkatesh created a stir with the bat

KKR cheerfully achieved the target of 183 runs given by RCB in just 16.5 overs. Sunil Narine along with Phil Salt gave a blazing start to Kolkata and added 86 runs for the first wicket in just 6.3 overs. Narine played a stormy inning of 47 runs facing just 22 balls. At the same time, Venkatesh Iyer, who came to bat at number three, scored 50 runs in 30 balls.
