RCB vs SRH match became historic, biggest record of T-20 cricket broken; Royal Challengers Bangalore did wonders even after losing

The most amazing match in T-20 cricket history was played on Chinnaswamy's ground. There was non-stop rain of fours and sixes and runs were scored. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 287 runs on the scoreboard after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs, which was also the highest score in this league. While chasing the target of 288 runs, RCB also counterattacked strongly. The victory did not come in favor of Royal Challengers Bangalore, but the team did score 262 runs.

 

Most runs scored in a match

The record for most runs in a match of T-20 cricket has been made in the name of the match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB (RCB vs SRH). Batting first, SRH scored 287 runs, while RCB also scored 262 runs. That means a total of 549 runs were scored in this match including both the innings. Earlier in IPL 2024 itself, 523 runs were scored in the match played between Hyderabad and Mumbai.

 

It rained fours and sixes.

A total of 81 boundaries were hit in the match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB. The batsmen of Hyderabad and Bengaluru together hit 43 fours and sent the ball flying 38 times for six runs. Earlier, 81 boundaries were hit in the match played between West Indies and South Africa.

 

RCB created history

Even though the Royal Challengers Bangalore team had to face defeat, the RCB batsmen created history by making a splash. RCB has become the first team in the world to score more than 250 runs while chasing runs in a T-20 cricket match.

 

Dinesh Karthik played a brilliant innings

Dinesh Karthik fought till the end for RCB. Karthik batted in a stormy style and played a memorable inning of 83 runs in 35 balls. During this innings, Karthik hit 5 fours and seven sixes. However, Karthik failed to lead the team to victory.
