Jaipur, March 24 (IANS) Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh Monday said he was "relieved" after filing his nomination papers as an independent from Rajasthan's Barmer seat.

"The people will tell. I am contesting on principle and for honour, not just my honour but that of the people of Barmer," he told TV channel Times Now.

He was upset after being denied ticket to contest from Barmer.
