To stop them, a lot of strictness is being taken, and arrests are also being made at different places. Still, the Rohingya, considered a security threat, are reaching the Nepal border from the northeast via Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. who are Rohingya

Out of Myanmar's 3.3 million population, the Rohingya population in Rakhine province is more than 1 million. Their lineage comes from Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Mughal, Pathan, local Bengali, and Rakhine. They are also settled in Pakistan (2.5 to 3.5 lakh), Saudi Arabia (2.5 to 5 lakh), Bangladesh (2 to 5 lakh), Malaysia (20 to 45 thousand), and Thailand (three to 20 thousand).

that's how it started

The British ruled Myanmar (then Burma) from 1824 and sent laborers from other countries to Myanmar for rice production. In the 17th century, the Rohingya came to Myanmar from part of the Indian subcontinent (now Bangladesh) under this policy.

Reasons to flee Myanmar

Things changed in 1962 when the army took over. After this, atrocities started on Rohingya Muslims under continuous military rule. Thousands of Bangladeshis went to Myanmar in 1971 in the war of independence of Bangladesh. In 1978 the Myanmar government began to expel refugees. The Rohingya people were very similar to Bangladeshi refugees and hence came under attack. Now due to junta i.e. military government in Myanmar, once again Rohingya are leaving the country and coming to India due to the border with Sikkim and Mizoram.

Rohingya Muslims have entered some areas of Araria, Kishanganj, and Supaul districts bordering Nepal. Intelligence officials confirm that Rohingya have entered these areas. Although the administrative officials are not accepting this, a social survey of these areas has not been done for a long time.

Jharkhand: Entering the state from Murshidabad

Police have been getting intelligence information about Rohingya Muslims living in many parts of Jharkhand. If there is a serious investigation, thousands of Rohingya will be found. In April 2020, three Rohingya Muslims were arrested from the Bank More area of Dhanbad. Intelligence agencies were activated but the investigation did not proceed. In Lohardaga too, two years ago, there was a fear of involvement of Bangladeshi and Rohingya in the deadly attack, arson, and stone-pelting on a procession in support of the National Register of Citizens and Citizenship Amendment Act. According to the intelligence agency, Rohingyas enter Jharkhand from Murshidabad in Bengal. There is talk of getting protection from the Popular Front of India also in the report of the intelligence agency.
