The United States, Britain, France, Germany, and the European Union (EU) have strongly condemned Russia, considering it a serious war crime. While Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned Russia for this massacre, the international community has demanded new sanctions on it. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that his country will now increase sanctions on Russia and aid Ukraine. But Russia has denied involvement in the mass killings of civilians.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have withdrawn from the north of Ukraine, clearing areas near Kyiv and Chernihiv. But on Sunday, Russian attacks on eastern, southern Ukraine and ports intensified. On Saturday, the Russian army evacuated the area around Kyiv. But as soon as the Ukrainian army reached there, bodies of civilians were found in large numbers in the town of Bucha and some other areas.
Traces of vandalism found on dead bodies
The mass graves of about three hundred people were found in Bucha. There is anger among people due to the traces of vandalism on these dead bodies. Landmines were also found in the area, due to which the advancing Ukrainian troops suffered explosions. After the withdrawal of Russian forces, the area around Kyiv is now completely under the control of the Ukrainian government. The work of normalizing the situation in 30 towns and villages including nearby Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel towns started on Sunday. During talks in Turkey, Russia had announced the withdrawal of troops from areas adjacent to Kyiv and Chernihiv.
Russian army attacks on ports
Russian missile strikes the port of Mykolaiv on the Black Sea coast. Similarly, Russian missiles have attacked the oil warehouse located near Odessa port. The Ukrainian military said Russian airstrikes caused damage in Severo Donysk and Rubizhen in the Luhansk region. The Ukrainian military said it had thwarted six Russian military attacks on Saturday in the Luhansk and Donetsk areas.
Eastern and Southern Ukraine targeted by Russia

Belgorod blasts
