Russia Ukraine War: Zelensky may visit America amid war, hopes to meet Biden

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may visit Washington. During the visit, he is likely to meet US President Joe Biden and visit the US Congress on Wednesday. Sources have given this information. It will be Zelensky's first known trip outside his country since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February.

 

Zelensky can go to America

Sources said Zelensky is expected to visit the US Capitol on Wednesday. Though the trip is yet to be confirmed, plans are subject to change due to security reasons. Punchbowl News, citing sources, was the first to report about the possible tour. A source said Biden is expected to meet with Zelensky at the White House on Wednesday.

 

Suddenly Zelensky arrived among the soldiers

A spokesman for Ukrainian President Zelensky did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Also, the office of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Zelensky's reported visit. Earlier, the President of Ukraine visited soldiers fighting in the war. His visit startled the soldiers and also gave them the courage to fight.

 

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented medals at the Kremlin to Russian-appointed leaders of four regions of Ukraine, which Moscow claims it has captured since invading its neighbor. Zelensky mentioned his trip to Donetsk in his Tuesday night video address. He said he passed through several cities in the Donetsk region, including Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostyantynivka.
