During the SCO summit, India and China expressed concern about the Ukraine war with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The statement of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has come out regarding this. He has said that the concerns expressed directly by India and China will put pressure on Russian aggression.

 

The US Secretary of State was addressing a press conference with Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Friday. During this, he was asked do you see the concern of India and China in the international forum as a significant change in Russia. In response, Blinken said, India and China have directly expressed their concerns about the Ukraine war with Russia. His concern was about the global impact of the invasion of Ukraine.

Blinken said, not only India and China, but all the countries of the world have expressed concern about this. Why the Ukraine war was devastating to the people of the world. This war is not just against Ukraine or its people, but it is an aggression against the principles of international relations, which help to maintain peace and security.

 

200 million people at risk of food insecurity

 

Blinken said the UN Charter should be in front of everyone. If you look at that, Russia is the number one violator. The Ukrainian invasion has had an impact on food security. We were already suffering from corona and climate change. On top of that, the Ukraine war further exacerbated food insecurity. We now have over 200 million people who are seriously food insecure. There was a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin during the SCO summit. During this, many issues were discussed between the two countries. Ukraine war was also a major issue in this.
