BAN vs SA T20 World Cup. In the 20th match of the T20 World Cup, South Africa defeated Bangladesh by 4 runs on Monday. In the match played in New York, South Africa batted first and scored 113 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Bangladesh team could score 109 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. With this victory, South Africa led by Aiden Markram broke the big record of the Indian team.

Bangladesh did not get four runs for leg-bye

In this match, due to an umpire's mistake and ICC rules, Bangladesh did not get a four i.e. four runs. The entire Bangladesh team was surprised by the umpire's decision.

In fact, during the second innings, when Bangladesh was chasing the target, four runs were not given as leg bye on the second ball of the 17th over. If Bangladesh had got these four runs, the result of the team could have been different.

What happened after all?

Otniel Bartman bowled the ball to Bangladesh batsman Mahmudullah, who hit his pad and crossed the boundary line. At the same time, an LBW appeal was made by the African fast bowler. The umpire declared him out. After this, Mahmudullah challenged the umpire's decision and used DRS, where the batsman was declared not out. It is worth noting that the team was not given four runs of bye.

Actually, according to ICC rules, if the umpire raises his finger for an out, then the boundary hit on the ball, or any run taken will not be added. After the umpire gives out, the ball becomes dead.

South Africa's dominance continues

Let us tell you that South Africa has maintained its dominance by defeating Bangladesh in a low-scoring match. South Africa's team has never lost to Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup so far. The Proteas have a one-sided record of 9-0 against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup.
