Kolkata, Feb 7 (IANS) A 16-year-old girl student was gang-raped twice in two days in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, and two people have been arrested in this connection, police said Saturday.

The Class 8 student, a resident of Mahamayapur, was raped by three people Jan 27 and again Jan 28.

The alleged perpetrators, who had captured the act on a mobile phone, threatened the girl not to approach police.

A police complaint was lodged Friday after the girl informed her family about the ordeal.

"Following a complaint by the girl, we arrested two people Friday night. We are looking for the third suspect," said an officer of Sonarpur police station, under the jurisdiction of which the incident happened.
