Surjewala gets charge of Congress communications department

New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed Randeep Surjewala head of the communications department in place of Ajay Maken, who has been made chief of the pasrty's Delhi unit.

A party release said on Thursday that Surjewala, who is a national spokesperson of the party, has been appointed in-charge of communications department till further orders.

The communications department handles the party's interactions with the media.
