Even after five days of the declaration of the result, the BJP has not yet staked a claim to form the government in Goa. State's caretaker CM Pramod Sawant will leave for Delhi this evening to meet party president JP Nadda.

According to BJP sources, a meeting of the legislature party of the Goa unit of BJP is likely to be held on Wednesday for the selection of the leader of the legislature party. Sawant said that Goa unit BJP president Sadanand Tanawade will also be present during his meeting with Nadda. Sawant said he and other BJP leaders are likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The BJP has already appointed Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan as observers and co-observers for the selection of the Legislature Party leader in Goa. Tomar and Murugan are expected to hold a meeting of the BJP Legislature Party on Wednesday in which the Legislature Party leader will be decided. Tanawade had said that the new government would take oath on March 18 after Holi. The BJP has won 20 seats in the election results for the 40-member state assembly declared on March 10. With two MGP MLAs and three independents supporting the BJP, the party's position in the assembly appears to be better.

Yogi has already met veteran BJP leaders including PM Modi, Amit Shah in Delhi. According to sources, it was said that Yogi had gone to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the swearing-in ceremony. According to sources, on March 20-21, Yogi Adityanath can take oath as the next CM of Uttar Pradesh. About 57 ministers can take oath in Yogi's new cabinet, it is expected that there will be 22-24 cabinet ministers. At the same time, 7-9 ministers can have independent charges.

Many leaders of the state along with JP Nadda, BL Santosh, Pushkar Dhami were involved in the brainstorming in Delhi regarding the government in Uttarakhand. Rekha Arya has staked a claim for the post of CM in Uttarakhand. At present, there is no mention of any date in the speculations about when the new government will be sworn in in Uttarakhand, although a new government may be formed in the state after Holi.

 

How is the process going on in Manipur?

 

The meeting has started in the BJP office regarding Manipur. The meeting is being held under the chairmanship of BJP President JP Nadda. Manipur's caretaker Chief Minister Biren Singh, election in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, state in-charge Sambit Patra are present in the meeting. Organization Minister BL Santosh is present at the meeting. 59 of the 60 newly-elected MLAs of Manipur took the oath of office and secrecy at the state assembly building on Monday. Protem Speaker of the Assembly Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh administered the oath of office and secrecy to the MLAs. Rajen Singh is elected from the Lamsang constituency of Imphal West district. Governor L Ganesan administered the oath of office to Singh at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday. It is noteworthy that after the assembly election results, 32 MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party, seven from National People's Party (NPP), six from JD(U), five each from Naga People's Front (NPF) and Congress, while two from Kuki People's Alliance (KPI). KPA) and three independent MLAs have come by-election.
