Suzlon Energy Q1 Results: Shares Crash 6% After Profit Decline, Stock Slips Below ₹50

Suzlon Energy Q1 Results: Renewable energy major Suzlon Energy Ltd. reported a strong operational performance for the first quarter of FY27, posting 23% year-on-year revenue growth and achieving its highest-ever Q1 wind turbine deliveries of 506 MW. Although the company's net profit declined marginally, Suzlon strengthened its order book, expanded manufacturing capacity, and announced plans for global expansion with a new Singapore subsidiary.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Suzlon reported:

 

Revenue: ₹3,819.36 crore, up 23% from ₹3,117.33 crore in Q1 FY26.

Net Profit: ₹305.22 crore, compared with ₹324.32 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

 

Despite the slight decline in profit, the company's revenue growth highlights strong execution and rising demand in India's renewable energy sector.

 

Record 506 MW Deliveries Mark Best-Ever First Quarter

 

Suzlon delivered 506 MW during Q1 FY27, the highest first-quarter delivery in the company's history, reflecting a 14% year-on-year increase.

 

The company also maintained a healthy order book of 6.1 GW, supported by fresh orders worth nearly 1 GW from major customers, including Tata Power and Waaree Group.

 

Suzlon Expands Global Presence with Singapore Subsidiary

 

The company's board approved the formation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore to strengthen its international footprint in:

 

Wind energy business

Operations & Maintenance Services (OMS)

 

This move aligns with Suzlon's long-term global expansion strategy.

 

'Suzlon 2.0' Strategy Focuses on Four Growth Segments

 

Under its Suzlon 2.0 transformation plan, the company will focus on four strategic business verticals:

 

RE Tech

RE DevCo

RE Projects

RE AMS

 

The strategy aims to accelerate growth across the renewable energy value chain.

 

Manufacturing Capacity Doubled

 

Suzlon has expanded its Jaisalmer rotor blade manufacturing facility, doubling production capacity from 630 MW to 1,260 MW.

 

The increased capacity is expected to help the company meet rising domestic and international demand for wind energy equipment.

 

Leadership Update and AGM Date

 

The company also announced the appointment of Anjali Byas as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

 

Suzlon's 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled to be held on September 11, 2026.
