Security forces intensify anti-terrorist operations

There is an atmosphere of fear among Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus after the recent killings. He is shocked. They say that after these murders, they are afraid to leave their homes. Although the security forces have intensified the anti-terrorist operations and started a major crackdown on terrorists as well as their supporters, this soft target killing remains a major challenge for the security forces.

Methods changed, the mentality is still the same

Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti (KPSS) President Sanjay Tikku said that the situation in the Kashmir Valley is once again moving towards the 90s. Tikku said the KPSS had already said that the situation in the Kashmir Valley was going back to the 1990s. Lists of murders in mosques were circulated in 1990, while in 2022 these lists were put on the internet and social media. The methods have changed, but the mindset is the same.

Barbaric acts are not possible without the support of the local population

Sanjay Tikku said that heinous and barbaric acts are not possible without the support of the local population. The roles of Kashmiri society, though small in number, cannot be completely absolved of the crimes targeted against Kashmiri Pandits, Kashmiri Hindus living in the Kashmiri Valley. Said that every known or unknown gunman is a local person and the OGWs helping them are also from our Kashmiri society.

security of minorities at stake

Tikku said the collective silence creates a trust deficit with never-ending vacancies. He said that the safety of minorities was at stake and the government was not concerned with the situation. This clearly shows that either the administration is not interested in saving the minorities or they are incapable of handling the situation. In both cases, Kashmir is thrown into the darkness that engulfed the place in the early 1990s.

Government fails to secure again

Tikku said that in 1990 the coalition government failed to secure the minorities in the Kashmir Valley, which led to a mass exodus, and in the last three years, the same government failed again to secure the minorities living in Kashmir. It shows that the Kashmiri minorities will have to leave the Kashmir Valley again due to the failure of the Kashmiri society and administration.
