The government will send SMS to the elderly for prescription doses

The government will send an SMS to the elderly who have to take precautionary doses, reminding them that the dose will start from January 10. He said that after a corona infection, the immunity lasts for about 9 months.

The precautionary dose will reduce the severity of the infection

Describing the effectiveness of the vaccine, ICMR director Balram Bhargava said that all corona vaccines, whether made in India or from Israel, America, Europe, or China, work to modify the virus. They do not prevent infection. Precautionary doses will work to reduce the severity of infection, reduce the risk of hospitalization and death.

He also said that it is very important to wear a mask before and after getting the vaccine. Crowd gathering should also be avoided. The treatment guidelines will remain the same in this variant as in the previous variant of Corona. Home isolation will also be an important part of treatment.
