Even before the visit of Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav to Kannauj on Friday, the Income Tax Department has conducted major raids on the establishment and residence of big perfume traders of Kannauj. Income Tax Department teams raided the premises of Mohammad Yakub alias Malik Mian, a close aide of Akhilesh Yadav and MLC member Pushpraj Jain alias Pampi Jain.
After the raid of GST Intelligence at the place of perfume trader Piyush Jain in Kannauj, now the Income Tax Department has raided the place of two big perfume traders of Kannauj on Friday. The Income Tax Department team is raiding the house and factory of perfume trader and SP MLC Pushpraj Jain Pumpi, resident of Chhipatti Mohalla in the city. Pushpraj Jain had created Samajwadi perfume. His name had cropped up during the raids at Piyush Jain. At the same time, the team of the Income Tax Department also reached the place of perfume businessman S Mohammad Yakub alias Malik Mian. The team is raiding his factory. The team reached both places at 7:30 am.
Teams raided in Kannauj from around 7:30 am. The teams first reached the perfume-making factory near the residence and residence of MLC member Pushpraj Jain alias Pumpi Jain. Pampi Jain, a member of the Legislative Council from the Samajwadi Party, is present at the residence, while his family members are in Mumbai. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had launched Pushpraj Jain's Samajwadi perfume on November 9. Now the Income Tax Department team has raided the premises of Pushpraj Jain, the businessman who made it. This raid of the Income Tax Department is going on at Pushpraj Jain's Kannauj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Agra locations. His factory in Hathras has also been raided. Pushpraj Jain's factory is on the Siktra road of Hasayan in Hathras. The team of Income Tax and GST Department has raided the factory of Pushp Raj Jain Kannauj people on Siktra Road of Hasayan. The officer is present inside the Kothi. Three of his cars are parked outside. Rajveer Singh, the watchman present in the Kothi, lives with the Baghel family. He hasn't been allowed to go out.
Apart from the locations of Pushpraj Jain, the team has also raided the establishment and residence of perfume trader Mohammad Yakub alias Malik Mian, resident of Pansariyan Mohalla in Kannauj. Raids are going on at around 50 places including Kanauj, Noida, and Kanpur of Pampi Jain.
Pushpraj Jain was in the news since the treasures were found at Piyush Jain's house in Kannauj and Kanpur. When Pushpraj Jain's name cropped up with Piyush Jain, he had said that he has nothing to do with Piyush Jain. Pushpraj Jain's regional office is in Mumbai. His perfume business is spread across the Gulf countries. The Income Tax department raids at the house of Samajwadi Party MLC Pushpraj Jain at a time when SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is in Kannauj.
Who is Pushpraj aka Pumpi Jain?
Pushpraj Jain, a close aide of Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, was elected a member of the Legislative Council in the year 2016 from the Etawah-Farrukhabad region. He is the co-owner of Pragati Aroma Oil Distillers Pvt Ltd. This business was started by his father Sawai Lal Jain in 1950. Along with this, Pushpraj and his three brothers run a perfume business in Kannauj and live in the same house. MLC Pushparaj has a house and an office in Mumbai. From where perfumes and other products are exported mainly to about 12 countries in the Middle East. Two of his three brothers work in the Mumbai office, while the third works with him on a manufacturing set-up in Kannauj. According to the details given by Pushpraj Jain in his election affidavit while filing his nomination for the Legislative Council in 2016, he has movable assets worth Rs 37.15 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 10.10 crore. The Samajwadi perfume of Pushpraj Jain, who studied up to class 12 from Swaroop Narayan Intermediate College in Kannauj, was launched by Akhilesh on November 9. During this, Pushpraj Jain had claimed that socialist perfume has been made by mixing 22 types of natural fragrances. Its fragrance will end the politics of hate. Along with this, Pushpraj Jain alias Pammi Jain said that after this, preparations are being made for more fragrances in which 24 natural perfumes will be used and the storm of hatred which has spread across the country, will also work to eradicate it in 2024. Akhilesh Yadav had said that by smelling this perfume, people would be reminded of the Samajwadi Party and the Samajwadi ideology. Its color has also been kept red-green, if this bottle goes somewhere else, then you may not be able to change the fragrance, but the color will change. Kannauj is famous for perfume and Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav have represented the Kannauj parliamentary constituency.
