The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in the Indian market. Especially in the electric scooter segment, people's interest is being seen the most. Last year, two of the country's leading automakers TVS Motors and Bajaj Auto launched their first electric scooters Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube in the domestic market. In August, the sale of TVs iCube has surprised everyone.

According to media reports, a total of 649 units of TVS iQube have been sold in August, which is 2722% more than just 23 units in the same month last year. Now talking about Bajaj Chetak, the company has sold only 364 units during this period, which was 192 units in August last year. Although the sales of Bajaj Chetak are much lower than that of iQube, it is almost 90% higher than the same month last year.

What is special about both the scooters:

The TVS iQube electric scooter uses an electric motor with a capacity of 4.4 kW. The company claims that this scooter offers a driving range of up to 75 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 78 km per hour. This scooter is capable of catching a speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour in just 4.2 seconds. It uses a lithium-ion battery pack of 2.25kWh capacity.

Price: Rs 1 lakh

Driving range: 75 km

In Baja Chetak, the company has used an IP67 rated lithium-ion battery pack of 3kWh capacity. The electric motor given in it generates 4kW of power and 16Nm of peak torque. This scooter gives a maximum driving range of up to 95 km in Eco mode, while it can be driven up to 85 km in Sport mode. It takes about 5 hours for the scooter's battery to be fully charged and with the help of the quick charging system, it gets charged up to 25 percent in just 1 hour.

Price: Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.15 lakh

Driving Range: 95 Kilometers

The information given here about the driving range of electric vehicles is based on media reports. Variations are possible due to different road conditions and driving styles. Apart from this, the price of scooters has been given according to ex-showroom Delhi.
