Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed the media that the proposal of Indian Railways for the redevelopment of three major railway stations - New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai has been approved. The project involves an investment of about Rs 10,000 crore. Apart from this, work is also being done on the rejuvenation of 199 platforms in the country.

What is the government planning
The central government is moving forward toward the rejuvenation of railway stations. In this, three major railway stations have been focused on under the first phase. Which includes New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai railway stations. Railway Minister Vaishnav informed that train services will be integrated with buses, auto, and metro rail services at New Delhi Railway Station. At the same time, the redesign of the Ahmedabad Railway Station is inspired by the Sun Temple of Modera. The Heritage Building in Mumbai will not be touched, but the surrounding buildings will be redeveloped.
