In Gujarat, the Vande Bharat Express train is falling prey to accidents after repeatedly colliding with cattle. There have been three such accidents in a month since the start of this train between Mumbai and Gandhinagar. Fortunately, only the 'nose' of its engine was damaged in the collision and no one was injured. Broken nose surgery costs thousands of rupees.

The Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express collided with a cow again on 29 October in Valsad, Gujarat. Due to this, the front part of the train was damaged. Railway officials say that the front part of the Vande Bharat Express, which is called the 'nose cone', has been designed in such a way that it can bear all the shock of the accident. Easy to replace, low cost

Not only Vande Bharat but the front part of other premium trains are kept similarly. This nose cone is made of fiber plastic. In case of shock or accident, this part is damaged and other parts of the train are saved. For this reason, only the nose of this train was damaged in the above three accidents so far. Railway sources say that it is easy and relatively less expensive to replace the damaged nose of the Vande Bharat train. The cost of this nose cover is up to Rs 15,000.

Cattle collide with 22 trains every day

Indian Railways ranks fourth in the world in terms of network and second in terms of passengers. China is at the forefront of this matter. According to Indian Railways, there are 22 incidents of trains colliding with cattle in the country every day. So far this year, 4,433 trains have been affected by cattle.

Making farmers and animal owners aware

Amitabh Sharma, Executive Director, of the Information and Publicity Department of Railways, has been continuously making efforts to reduce the incidents of animals colliding with trains. Animal owners and farmers are also being made aware so that they do not bring animals for grazing around the railway tracks and such incidents can be stopped. Legal action has also been taken against some animal owners.
